5 Best Places to get Pizza in Greensboro, NC

If there’s one most of us can agree on for any meal, it’s pizza. Luckily Greensboro has all your pie needs covered. Home to so many excellent pizza spots that offer delicious pies made with fresh ingredients and authentic techniques, we’ve managed to narrow down our 6 favorites. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic Margherita, a creative specialty pizza, a cheesy calzone, or a Pizza Pita, there’s a place on this list for you.

#1. Sticks & Stones:

Coming in first on our list is Sticks and Stones Pizza. Located on Walker Avenue,  Sticks & Stones is known for their fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients. They are all about sustainability and it shows in their beautiful, fresh, and seasonally changing menu options. They are all about supporting local farms and the community.

#2. Corner Slice

This local fan favorite is located on North Elm Street in Greensboro near Fisher park. Corner Slice,  around for only a little over 5 years now , offers a variety of classic and specialty pizzas, subs, pitas, and one of the best appetizer menus in the game (looking at you Mimi’s Pimento Cheese). They also have a great wine and beer selection. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the laid back, friendly vibes will keep you coming back.

#3. Mellow Mushroom

Number 3 on our list is Mellow Mushroom, although a chain restaurant, it is popular for a reason. Mellow Mushroom Greensboro, with its vibrant, almost churchlike interior and huge menu of specialty pies, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, burgers, vegan options, and more, is one of the best spots in town to get a fun and laid back atmosphere along with some amazing pizza.

#4 Slices by Tony

Located near the UNC Greensboro campus on Tate Street,  Tony’s slices are definitely considered to be some of the best slices around. This Italian American style pizzeria offers a huge selection of classic and specialty pizzas and even serves up some New York Style pies. Baked with fresh ingredients every day, Tonys offers pizza by the pie or by the slice, but challenges you to stop at just one.

#5 Cugino Forma

Last, but certainly not least,  on our list is another  local favorite, Cugino Forna. Located in the heart of downtown Greensboro, in the Revolution Mill, Cugino Forna offers a variety of authentic wood fired Neapolitan-style pizzas, handmade pastries, beer, wine, and even a gelato selection. Cugino Forna has been in Greensboro for over 10 years, and is known for its commitment to authenticity quality, and community.

Hi, it’s Jeff Valentino. In 2019 my 2 sons and I packed up and moved to Winston Salem from the suburbs of Chicago. We didn’t know one person here. I wished there was a resource for people like me who are considering a similar move, so I decided to make one!
