The Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden

Looking for an escape from the city, a beautiful place to take a relaxing walk and collect your thoughts, the perfect location for a sunday picnic, or a beautiful backdrop for a photo shoot, head over to the Tanger Family Bicentennial Gardens. Located on Hobbs Road in Greensboro, the historical garden was created in 1975 to recognize the 200th (Bicentennial) anniversary of the United States.

Featuring a man made stream, historic sculptures, gazebos, hidden benches, art, and over 7.5 acres of various flowering annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees, the gardens are the perfect place to go for some fresh air and beautiful scenery.  They are handicap accessible, and open to the public from 8am to 8pm.  They are also open to weddings, events, and gatherings.  You can find more info on the park at https://greensborobeautiful.org/gardens/tanger/

Hi, it’s Jeff Valentino. In 2019 my 2 sons and I packed up and moved to Winston Salem from the suburbs of Chicago. We didn’t know one person here. I wished there was a resource for people like me who are considering a similar move, so I decided to make one!
